A co-branded campaign developed to introduce the Pilot G2 | SmileyWorld® Collection - licensed pen packs combining Pilot's G2 (America's #1 selling, smooth writing, longest lasting) gel ink pen with SmileyWorld’s iconic emoticons. This multi-touch effort brought playful, science-backed storytelling into a beloved writing format, designed to evoke optimism and spark emotional connection.
Creative leaned into SmileyWorld®’s expressive identity with custom pen wraps, co-branded packaging, and a vibrant 10-color palette inspired by color psychology. The campaign’s tagline - Write Happier - connected emotional well-being with the tactile joy of handwriting, highlighting research showing that seeing a smile activates the same brain regions as experiencing one, and that writing by hand improves focus, memory, and mindfulness.
The campaign came to life across digital and social channels, influencer seeding, and retail activations with partners like Amazon and Office Depot. Branded content and ad placements reinforced the idea that writing can be more than functional - it can be joyful. Every touchpoint was crafted to celebrate positivity, self-expression, and the small moments that make a big impact.
